Dionne Michelle Benjamin, Esq., founder of Cookies in the Jar, Inc.℠, is an advocate for young women. She has a passion for instilling values, enhancing relationships, promoting positive self-esteem, and educating teens and young adults with respect to their spiritual, emotional, and sexual health. Her objective is to raise awareness of the dangers of sex in the hope that it will reduce the number of teen and premarital pregnancies, abortions, and the alarming rate at which STDs are transmitted. She is in the process of authoring a self-help book on relationships.

Ms. Benjamin attained her Bachelor's degree from Cornell University. Upon graduation, she was licensed as a stockbroker, and later performed regulatory work for the Federal Reserve Bank. Ms. Benjamin received her Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia. She currently works as an attorney for a law firm in Washington, D.C. Ms. Benjamin advises corporate clients on issues pertaining to employee benefits. She is also admitted to the Georgia Bar. Ms. Benjamin lives in Virginia with her son, Colin. In her spare time she enjoys baking, bargain shopping, writing, dancing, and social networking. Her favorite cookies are homemade oatmeal chocolate chip.
